What is Vector Graphics ?

Vector graphics (also called geometric modeling or object-oriented graphics) is the use of geometrical primitives such as points, lines, curves, and polygons, which are all based upon mathematical equations to represent images in computer graphics. It is used in contrast to the term raster graphics, which is the representation of images as a collection of pixels, and used as the sole graphic type for actual photographic images.

Eye Tracing Tutorial (click picture to enlarge)

1. Use any vector graphic editing software.
2. Make 2 layers. Layer 1 for master picture; place layer 2 above layer 1 for drawing tracing lines.
3. Use pen tool to draw tracing lines.
4. Trace the eye details first.


5. Fill with white color.
6. Trace the black part of the eye.


7. Use the eyedropper tool to fill the eye color.
8. Send to back.
9. Trace the white part.


10. Fill with white, don't use eyedropper tool it will turn greyish.
11. Send to back.
12. Trace the eyelashes.


13. Fill with black color or other dark color or use the eyedropper tool.
14. Trace the outer side of the eye.


15. Pick color sample with eyedropper tool, fill.
16. Send to back.
17. Trace the bottom eyelashes.


18. Fill with black color or other dark color or use the eyedropper tool.
19. Send to back.
20. Done.
